Day 5 features a Grand Finale of our Holiday Family Portraits on this Christmas Eve. Here we have a few moments from several other families we had the privilege of photographing this holiday season. Family means different things to different people. Some people have large families and some us have smaller ones. To some, our friends are a part of that family because they have been in our lives for a very long time. Others may have shared a very important time in our life with us. Day 4 of the holiday portrait series has almost gotten away from me, but there is still time. I promised you a family portrait blog a day until Christmas, so here is today’s featured family. On a visit to Chandler, Arizona to see my family we met and did a session with Woody (he is the 2nd guy that I have met with the name Woody), Tara, Greyson and Caroline. Holiday Portrait Series | Tony+Jeanette+Anthony=Family

Day 3 of our Holiday Portrait Series features Tony, Jeanette and Anthony. We have been long time friends with Tony and Jeanette, in fact Jeff has known Tony since they were kids. Now these kids have kids! Crazy how time flies. We just love Anthony and it has been fun to watch him grow. At 3 years old, he is a ball full of energy and just as cute as can be. We had fun in the park shooting their holiday portraits…we even took a ride on the rain at Irvine Park for a couple pics! Happy Holidays to our dear friends! Holiday Portait Series | Jonson+Samantha+Triplets = Family

Day 2 of our Holiday Portrait Series features Jonson and Samantha with their beautiful triplets. Yes, I photographed triplets…Sophia, August and Tatiana. We have photographed them on several occasions over the past two years. These kids are so cute and I love that they all have a different personality. This year, they are walking so it was a challenge to get three kids to sit still at the same time. Though it sometimes felt like all of us were just chasing them around the fountain in the Old Town Orange Plaza, we had fun with the session. Okay, I also listened to my mom’s voice in my head saying “Patience is a Virtue”. Well, with a little patience, my love for children and photography, I was able to achieve some fantastic moments of this family. Cheers+Love, J+D

Holiday Portrait Series | Matt+Lorraine+Lincoln+Victoria=Family

With Christmas coming this Saturday, I am feeling the holiday spirit. It has been the busy time of year when we get to meet many fabulous families to do their holiday family portraits. We have done family portrait sessions in Orange County, The Bay Area and Chandler, AZ this year. I thought it would be nice to share a family portrait a day until Christmas! I love family moments and this time of the year is a great time to share them. Today we have featured Matt, Lorraine, Lincoln and Victoria which was one of the families I photographed in the Bay Area in Danville, CA. We had an awesome session, I loved the park location we chose! The kids were fantastic, though mom and dad were a little nervous they wouldn’t cooperate. I guess I have a magic touch! Irvine Family Portrait for Cocktails for the Cure

We met Jasvina through our mutual friend, Kendall as they are the co-founders of the annual Cocktails for the Cure event. This is a great event that is held each year to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Next Friday, October 8th will be the 4th Annual Cocktails for the Cure event and Sipper Photography will be shooting photos this year. We have donated a portrait session each year for their silent auction to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Research and will have another one to bid on this year. You may remember our post about Diane and her family, who was our 2008 portrait winner. This has been a great organization to be a part. We are very lucky to be able to give back through something we love to do, which is our photography. We are so looking forward to the event this year!

Today we have our 2009 portrait winner, Jasvina and her family to share. The family is dressed in their beautiful traditional Indian style dress, which was the suggestion of her two sons. Nice job guys! We hope that you will check out this great cause…enjoy the photos!

Orange County Family Photographer | Family Time

Well, Summer is officially here! It is time to get out and the enjoy the sun, bbq and have fun with your family & friends. Last weekend we went to Arizona for a few days, so we could visit with my family and some old friends from back east. A friend from high school was visiting who I have been friends with for over 20 years. Also visiting was a childhood friend of my mom’s. I got to do a few shots of them, friends for over 48 years…how amazing is that? Stay tuned for those in the next few days.

The other night we got to go on a boat cruise in the Newport Beach Harbor aboard The Electric Riverboat Angela Louise. It was a beautiful night to cruise and watch the boats sail by. I just love Summer and love being by the water, whether it is to relax in the pool or take a stroll by the beach.

It is also a great time of year because we get to meet some fabulous new families as they celebrate their moments over the summertime. Here is a special family session we did to celebrate parents over Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Tu-Han contacted us because she wanted to do a family portrait session with her siblings as a combined gift to their parents for Mother’s and Father’s Day. We were happy to celebrate with them, so off to the park we go to capture some awesome family moments. Enjoy, J+D

Emmi’s First Birthday | Orange County Family Photographer

Happy New Year to all of you! It has been a busy holiday season and after a lot of fabulous moments with family, friends, clients and many miles driven (we traveled about 1500 miles over the week of Christmas and New Year’s), we welcome 2010.

Yesterday, I attended my first yoga class of 2010. My instructor shared a little point that another student brought to her attention that I would like to share with all of you. “It is not just a New Year we are starting but a New Decade of our lives!” Not only was my yoga class great but I walked away with a wonderful outlook for this new year.

We are really looking forward to a fabulous new year as our business continues to grow. Our family and friends are so important to us and we wish all of them much happiness and success in 2010. Speaking of family, we celebrated our dear niece Emmi’s first birthday on New Year’s Eve. Here are a few photos I wanted to share from her birthday celebration, I can’t believe Miss Emmi is already a year old!
